The Cessna Citation XLS is a turbofan-powered, medium-sized business jet built by the Cessna Aircraft Company in Wichita, Kansas. A member of the wide-ranging Citation brand of business jets, the Citation XLS was the first development of the Citation Excel and began production in 2003. The Citation XLS is powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW545B engines with 3,975 pounds of thrust, and a Honeywell Primus 1000 EFIS avionics suite upgrades from the Citation Excel panel. The interior includes seating for nine passengers, indirect LED lighting, fold-out tables, and a couch. Additionally, the triple-sealed entry door and triple-pane windows make the cabin quiet and draft-free, while the external compartment is enlarged to 80 cubic feet to provide more storage space. The updated Citation XLS can climb to 43,000 feet in twenty-five minutes - 48 minutes faster than the Citation Excel.
